Day 1
Arrive in Alta and transfer to Bjørnfjell Mountain Lodge. Polar night bonfire trip at 8pm including two-course dinner. You will be collected from the main lodge and taken to the top of the nearby mountain and if the sky is clear there is a good chance to see the Northern Lights. Your guide will light up a bonfire outside a cosy cabin and tell mythical stories about the Northern Lights. At the end of the trip you can sled down the mountain on well prepared slopes. Day 2
Breakfast is served in the restaurant inside the main building. This morning you have the opportunity to try one of many activities including fat biking, ziplining, snowshoeing or just head out for a winter walk. Transfer to Holmen Husky Lodge at 3pm. After checking in at Holmen Lodge, you'll head out on a 15 km dogsledding tour. There is time to use the sauna and Jacuzzi before dinner is served. |
Day 3
After breakfast you will be transferred to Sorrisniva before embarking on a guided snowmobile tour to the plateau of Finnmark. Here you will see the beautiful Arctic light around noon. Return to Sorrisniva for lunch in the restaurant. After lunch, you will be checked in at the Igloo Hotel and have a guided tour with one of the staff. The Igloo Hotel at Sorrisniva is the northernmost ice hotel in the world. This afternoon you are free to relax or head out on one of the nearby hiking routes. At 8pm your guide will meet you in the hotel reception for a “hunting the Northern Lights” excursion. Day 4
Start your morning with a sauna and breakfast before heading out on a Sami adventure and a reindeer sledding tour. Return to Sorrisniva for lunch then check into the Arctic Wilderness Lodge. The remainder of the day is free to relax or try one of the many activities including snowshoeing, kicksledding or tobogganing. Day 5

MOOSEFUL INFORMATIONThe tree rooms are suspended 4-10 metres above the ground and are accessible by ramp, bridge, or electric stairs. Upon checking in at The Guesthouse, it’s a five-minute walk to Treehotel. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served in our Treehotel Guesthouse restaurant. All of the Treehotel tree rooms have: Incinerating toilet, electricity, underfloor heating, air conditioning, coffee maker and water kettle, fresh drinking water, refrigerators, WiFi, our sustainable Rukkamoika water system with 3 litres of water for washing your hands. Dragonfly and The 7th Room also have their own showers. The Mirrorcube is an exciting hide-out among the trees, camouflaged by mirrored walls reflecting their surroundings. The base consists of an aluminum frame around the tree trunk and the walls are covered with reflective glass. The Bird’s nest is built on the contrasts between the outside and inside. The treeroom’s exterior is nothing but a gigantic bird’s nest. It gives a camouflage so you quickly disappear and become part of the surroundings. The Cabin. This treeroom’s location was based on the idea of creating a platform high up on a sharp hillside overlooking the Lule River valley. You can reach the hut from here via a horizontal bridge among the trees. At the front of the bridge is a large wooden deck. 7th room. As you near the seventh room from below and look up at the sky, the entire underside of the building is covered by a life size photograph of the treetops as they looked before the room was put in place. This clever camouflage piques one’s curiosity. What is hiding up there? The Ufo. While working on the Bird’s Nest, which is largely in harmony with its surroundings, the idea of creating an entirely different environment was born. Dragonfly. With its 52 square metres and 22 metric tonnes, the Dragonfly is without a doubt our biggest room. Unique in many ways, this room can function both as a conference space as well as private suite. The Blue Cone is based on simplicity and accessibility, both in terms of material and design. The room is a traditional wooden structure with three foundations in the ground to give a sense of height and lightness, but also stability.
