Our rooms at the Best Western Plus and Hyatt Place Moab hotels had comfortable accommodations with two queen beds and a sofa bed, comfortably accommodating a couple and two children or teenagers. Equipped with a fridge and microwave, we were able to store and prepare basic meals, which helped reduce costs without the need for a full kitchen.
We found that these chains often offered the best accommodations for family vacations, and the free breakfast was especially appreciated when traveling with two teenage boys.
The Hyatt Place Moab is located at the north end of town but we could easily walk to the downtown area. It also had spacious rooms, complimentary breakfast, free parking, free wifi and a large pool.
Other top picks in central Moab are Element Moab by Marriott, SpringHill Suites by Marriott Moab, Gravity Haus Moab, Field Station Moab, Holiday Inn Express & Suites Moab, Wingate by Wyndham, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott and Hoodoo Moab, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton.

I particularly like the Curio Collection by Hilton and have stayed at several of their hotels in the USA and Europe. They consistently offer a boutique vibe while maintaining a high standard of accommodation, often at an attractive price point.
Another noteworthy option is the Radcliffe Moab. This self coined adventure boutique hotel is a welcome departure from the big name chains. Their suites come with a full kitchenette, separate living area and dining area, a wrap-around balcony and can sleep up to four people.
Moab also has a good selection of restaurants and bars, all only a short walk or drive from your lodging. There’s also a supermarket and no end of gift shops, outdoor adventure activity operators and outfitters making it the perfect base camp for outdoor enthusiasts. There is also a visitors center in the heart of downtown moab.

When planning a visit to Arches National Park, the amount of time you allocate can vary depending on what you want to experience.
If your time is limited, it's entirely possible to get a good sense of the park in just one day.
